In 1892, the Club’s first year of existence, the Woman’s Art Club of Cincinnati’s held its first exhibition which was open only to members of the Club. Currently, female artists, eighteen years or older, residing in Ohio, Kentucky, or Indiana are eligible to submit works for consideration where a juror selects the exhibition and then a judge determines the award winners.
In 2020, as the Club was finalizing its 127th Annual Juried Exhibition covid transmission precautions made having a traditional exhibition impossible. In light of the Club’s history and tradition the Club decided that the show must go on and created an online, virtual exhibition.
2021 saw a lessening of covid transmission precautions that allowed the Club to open the 128th Annual Juried Exhibition to the public; however, the Club’s Virtual Gallery seems to be here to stay and now includes the Woman’s Art Club of Cincinnati 128th, 129th, and 130th Annual Juried Exhibitions.
